1 Age

  • 1. At the age of 11 I was about 6 ft. tall and my voice had completely broken. That caused problems. I was this gangly spotty very unattractive kid. I wasn't cool and I wasn't a nerd. I didn't even want to fit in with anyone.

2 Amazing

  • 1. It's amazing marrying someone who wants nothing to do with Hollywood.

  • 3. They were so good that you just had to sing the song to them once and they got it. It's amazing. Sometimes it didn't come out the way you wanted but it was good.

3 Anger

  • 1. I was never jailed. The fact is that I was arrested but I went into a diversion programme and by that time I'd already begun working in what was called anger management. It was a painful and awful moment.
  • 2. Words can be said in bitterness and anger and often there seems to be an element of truth in the nastiness. And words don't go away they just echo around.
  • 3. I do like to write nasty songs. It's a useful weapon to have and it's cathartic as well because I create art out of anger something positive out of something negative.

4 Anniversary

  • 1. Marriage is the most natural state of man and… the state in which you will find solid happiness.
  • 2. But to sustain a marriage for 50 years you have to get real a little bit and find someone who is understanding and who you can grow with. My mom always says 'Marry the man who loves you a millimeter more.'
  • 3. The day before the anniversary of D-Day we lost a man who was equaled by few and surpassed by none as a leader in the cause of freedom: Ronald Reagan.

5 Architecture

  • 1. I think architecture has to be a gift.
  • 2. I try to give people a different way of looking at their surroundings. That's art to me.
  • 3. But the building's identity resided in the ornament.
