1 Age

  • 1. Photography suits the temper of this age – of active bodies and minds. It is a perfect medium for one whose mind is teeming with ideas imagery for a prolific worker who would be slowed down by painting or sculpting for one who sees quickly and acts decisively accurately.
  • 2. I started writing when I had three kids under the age of 4. I used to write every ten minutes I got to sit in front of a computer. Now when I have more time I function the same way: if it's writing time I write.
  • 3. I was living on the wrong side of the tracks in Evanston Illinois in a home for boys. We had these Jackson 5 records. I really related to their voices – they were about my age but they were doing it.

2 Amazing

  • 1. It was really fun being in Tara's trailer working on my lines. Tara is such an amazing actress. She's so good at what she does. I learned a lot from watching her.
  • 2. Whether it's 18 years old or 40 years old we think we know what's going on. But if you're lucky enough to continue the journey its amazing how we keep learning how much we didn't know.
  • 3. Actually we got signed in November of 2000 with Dreamworks which is the most amazing label. We have friends on other labels and though we are not selling millions of records yet they treat us with tons of respect and give us some very good guidance.

3 Anger

5 Architecture

  • 1. When I'm in London Claridge's is a great favourite. I'm a big fan of art deco architecture and the rooms are extraordinary.
  • 2. If you examine this I think that you will find that it's the mechanics of Japanese architecture that have been thought of as the direct influence upon our architecture.
  • 3. Architecture will always express the technical and social progress of the country in which it is carried out. If we wish to give it the human content that it lacks we must participate in the political struggle.
