On tour I'll get up at 5 p.m. and go to bed at 8 in the morning. With fishing it's the exact opposite. Fishing is the only healthy thing I do. Touring is such a grind it's the opposite of healthy.

1 Age

  • 1. When I was at school I was in choirs more than anything else from a very young age about 9 years old. And then I started taking drum lessons.
  • 2. I could always sing from a really young age but my voice was really weird. I used to make my mum turn up the radio every day in our house. She was well into music so I got that from her.
  • 3. To be told that one can be dependent on one's parents until age 26 should strike a young person who wants to grow up as demeaning not as something to celebrate.

2 Amazing

  • 1. Spinning has been such an amazing part of my exercise. I love the music the energy and the sweat. It's a tough class which makes me feel like I've really accomplished something. It's a great way to burn fat and lean out the body. An all-around win!
  • 2. There are two sorts of curiosity – the momentary and the permanent. The momentary is concerned with the odd appearance on the surface of things. The permanent is attracted by the amazing and consecutive life that flows on beneath the surface of things.
  • 3. I listen to every thing all kinds of stuff. I've been obsessed with the Nas and Damian Marley record 'Distant Relatives.' I feel like a lot of people haven't heard it and it's amazing.

3 Anger

  • 1. Anger is a great force. If you control it it can be transmuted into a power which can move the whole world.
  • 2. Something my mum taught me years and years and years ago is life's just too short to carry around a great bucket-load of anger and resentment and bitterness and hatreds and all that sort of stuff.
  • 3. The world needs anger. The world often continues to allow evil because it isn't angry enough.

4 Anniversary

  • 1. One should believe in marriage as in the immortality of the soul.
  • 2. Last week the House of Representatives passed a resolution honoring the victims and heroes of September 11th. As we commemorate the anniversary of 9-11 we must also remember that the threat is still very real today.
  • 3. The 150th anniversary of Penn State will highlight what is important and good about this distinguished institution and the fine people and research that it produces.

5 Architecture

  • 1. I am but an architectural composer.
  • 2. Look architecture has a lot of places to hide behind a lot of excuses. 'The client made me do this.' 'The city made me do this.' 'Oh the budget.' I don't believe that anymore.
  • 3. If you give people nothingness they can ponder what can be achieved from that nothingness.
