  • 1. When I was seventeen I worked as a counsellor at a co-ed sleep-away camp for eight weeks. I loved it but it could be harrowing – it was far too much responsibility for someone my age.

2 Amazing

  • 1. It's amazing to hear as a voice matures and then starts to decline what kind of emotion is still conveyed by a really good vocalist.
  • 2. I tend to not watch things that are current. And then if everybody swears it's amazing then I'll like watch the whole series in a weekend.
  • 3. Strangely enough when the Sugababes' 'Freak Like Me' went to number 1 which was built around my 'Are 'Friends' Electric' song I had another song called 'Rip' go to number 1 in the Kerrang TV chart so I was pulling new people in from very different areas of musical interest. That was quite an amazing week.

3 Anger

  • 1. Every time you get angry you poison your own system.
  • 2. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't angry some days. But I really have worked hard to put a lot of the anger and disappointment in the past.
  • 3. I think a certain amount of anger has been a fuel of mine if you want – but also some sort of sadness and plain mischief of course.

4 Anniversary

  • 1. There is no more lovely friendly and charming relationship communion or company than a good marriage.
  • 2. I feel there should have been some recognition of the Spice Girls at this year's 25th anniversary. We flew the flag for Britain around the globe in the 1990s and we achieved a hell of a lot.
  • 3. More marriages might survive if the partners realized that sometimes the better comes after the worse.

5 Architecture

  • 1. The new architecture of transparency and lightness comes from Japan and Europe.
  • 2. The aesthetic of architecture has to be rooted in a broader idea about human activities like walking relaxing and communicating. Architecture thinks about how these activities can be given added value.
  • 3. Architecture will always express the technical and social progress of the country in which it is carried out. If we wish to give it the human content that it lacks we must participate in the political struggle.
