2 Amazing

3 Anger

  • 1. One should not lose one's temper unless one is certain of getting more and more angry to the end.
  • 2. Our task of course is to transmute the anger that is affliction into the anger that is determination to bring about change. I think in fact that one could give that as a definition of revolution.
  • 3. When you start suppressing feelings at an early age it hurts you down the road. Full expression of anger and pain is very important.

4 Anniversary

  • 1. The chances of a reunion now are less likely. I was thinking of having a 40th anniversary of the band but now they are really another band so it's all a bit weird.
  • 2. I did that Dior Couture 60th anniversary show in July. It took so long to get ready I think I would have rather been watching.
  • 3. It was very hard for all of us. It's still very hard. The anniversary of his death just passed and every single one of his friends still after all these years… it's unbelievable.

5 Architecture

  • 1. I like things that are kind of eclectic when one thing doesn't go with another. That's why I love Rome. The town itself is that way. It's where Fascist architecture meets classic Renaissance where the ancient bangs up against the contemporary. It has a touch of everything. That's my style and that's what my work is about.
  • 2. Architecture begins where engineering ends.
  • 3. The way of architecture is the quiet voice that underlies it and has guided it from the beginning.
