Let me read you some of my poetry. My poetry just takes me to another level.

The mystic purchases a moment of exhilaration with a lifetime of confusion and the confusion is infectious and destructive. It is confusing and destructive to try and explain anything in terms of anything else poetry in terms of psychology.

I don't look on poetry as closed works. I feel they're going on all the time in my head and I occasionally snip off a length.

1 Age

  • 1. Man arrives as a novice at each age of his life.
  • 2. When marrying ask yourself this question: Do you believe that you will be able to converse well with this person into your old age? Everything else in marriage is transitory.
  • 3. I wanted to do two things when I was growing up about your age. I wanted to play in the NBA and I wanted to be a businessman after my basketball career was over and that is what I am doing now.

2 Amazing

  • 1. What's amazing is that I'm recognized all over the world through 'Red Dwarf.' British fans are exceptional but the American fans are something else. Some of them fly 500 miles to stand in line for three hours just to meet me then when they do they collapse. It makes you feel like a rock star!
  • 2. Each of us have things and thoughts and descriptions of an amazing universe in our possession that kings in the 17th Century would have gone to war to possess.
  • 3. It is quite amazing what I didn't feel after a while. I didn't really want to feel things.

3 Anger

  • 1. My anger with the US was not at first that they had used that weapon – although that anger came later.
  • 2. Experiencing sadness and anger can make you feel more creative and by being creative you can get beyond your pain or negativity.
  • 3. The greatest remedy for anger is delay.

4 Anniversary

  • 1. Presently the Commission for Commemorating 350 Years of American Jewish History has been brought about to encourage and sponsor a variety of historical activities that advance our understanding of the American Jewish experience as it marks this milestone anniversary.
  • 2. Why does a woman work ten years to change a man's habits and then complain that he's not the man she married?
  • 3. I feel there should have been some recognition of the Spice Girls at this year's 25th anniversary. We flew the flag for Britain around the globe in the 1990s and we achieved a hell of a lot.

5 Architecture

  • 1. Architecture is a art when one consciously or unconsciously creates aesthetic emotion in the atmosphere and when this environment produces well being.
  • 2. Writing about music is like dancing about architecture.
  • 3. The dialogue of architecture has been centered too long around the idea of truth.
