1 Age

  • 1. I think if you put a camera in anyone's life and document it daily from the age of 21 to 27 there are going to be things that aren't always pretty.
  • 2. Middle age is when your broad mind and narrow waist begin to change places.

2 Amazing

  • 1. Listen a cable series is a beautiful thing because there's such amazing writing happening on television and it's a schedule that allows you to do a play or two. There's a reason everybody wants that job!
  • 2. At that time I had recently finished a book called Amazing Grace which many people tell me is a very painful book to read. Well if it was painful to read it was also painful to write. I had pains in my chest for two years while I was writing that book.
  • 3. The seated lotus postures are an amazing way to go into meditation or simply just to take a moment to ground oneself.

3 Anger

  • 1. When angry count to four when very angry swear.
  • 2. Anger is a momentary madness so control your passion or it will control you.
  • 3. I think anger and laughter are very close to each other when you think about it.

4 Anniversary

  • 1. The London games mark the 24th anniversary of my winning two golds and setting the world record in the heptathlon. Someone is going to want it records are made to be broken – it's only a matter of time. I hope mine will outlive me.
  • 2. We can't forget what happened on May 4th 1970 when four students gave up their lives because they had the American constitutional right of peaceful protest. They gave up their lives. And to sing that song in that spot on that anniversary was very emotional for us.
  • 3. The bonds of matrimony are like any other bonds – they mature slowly.

5 Architecture

  • 1. Art is very tricky because it's what you do for yourself. It's much harder for me to make those works than the monuments or the architecture.
  • 2. I don't divide architecture landscape and gardening to me they are one.
  • 3. Architecture is invention.
