1 Age

  • 1. There are a lot of downsides to being male. We age faster and die younger. But give us this: we're lifetime baby-making machines. Women's reproductive abilities start to wane when they're as young as 35. Men? We're good to go pretty much till we're dead.
  • 2. I was always obsessed with being famous. I had Marilyn Monroe paper dolls as a child and I was always obsessed with her. I've just been really driven in that direction and none of my friends were. So I don't know what put that bug in me at a young age.
  • 3. I've spent as much as 30 grand on a watch but it's not about flaunting my wealth. I don't have many extravagances but watches are my biggest one. I must have 30 of them now. I've been collecting since the age of nine when I won a black TAG in a karting event.

2 Amazing

  • 1. Everyone says 'You give birth you go home and you have this amazing baby and it's just beautiful'. And I walked in and I just started sobbing.
  • 2. When you're true to who you are amazing things happen.
  • 3. There's the Hollywood sign there's Griffith Observatory there's the great amazing Los Angeles Basin. It's 465 square miles of insanity and the best food on the planet.

3 Anger

  • 1. People are unjust to anger – it can be enlivening and a lot of fun.
  • 2. When I was younger I was terrified to express anger because it would often kick-start a horrible reaction in the men in my life. So I bit my tongue. I was left to painstakingly deal with the aftermath of my avoidance later in life in therapy or through the lyrics of my songs.
  • 3. In times of great stress or adversity it's always best to keep busy to plow your anger and your energy into something positive.

4 Anniversary

  • 1. My last trip to New Orleans was for the fifth anniversary of Katrina and I had the awesome opportunity to bring my family down. We all worked on a house together and met some of the families.
  • 2. The day before the anniversary of D-Day we lost a man who was equaled by few and surpassed by none as a leader in the cause of freedom: Ronald Reagan.
  • 3. Marriage is an act of will that signifies and involves a mutual gift which unites the spouses and binds them to their eventual souls with whom they make up a sole family – a domestic church.

5 Architecture

  • 1. If architecture had nothing to do with art it would be astonishingly easy to build houses but the architect's task – his most difficult task – is always that of selecting.
