1 Age

  • 1. Not just in commerce but in the world of ideas too our age is putting on a veritable clearance sale. Everything can be had so dirt cheap that one begins to wonder whether in the end anyone will want to make a bid.

2 Amazing

  • 1. I don't know how many thoughts we have a second but it's quite an amazing number and just to pin down the appropriate sequence of those all you really need is a pencil and a piece of paper.
  • 2. Hawaii was beautiful of course we played at Turtle Bay an amazing resort right on the ocean.
  • 3. There are some amazing stories from all over this country where people's work and contribution has been acknowledged. To be part of that is an absolutely fantastic feeling.

3 Anger

  • 1. I was shocked at the anger toward me.
  • 2. I know of no more disagreeable situation than to be left feeling generally angry without anybody in particular to be angry at.
  • 3. I know to banish anger altogether from one's breast is a difficult task. It cannot be achieved through pure personal effort. It can be done only by God's grace.

4 Anniversary

  • 1. The bonds of matrimony are like any other bonds – they mature slowly.
  • 2. Never tell a secret to a bride or a groom wait until they have been married longer.
  • 3. The chances of a reunion now are less likely. I was thinking of having a 40th anniversary of the band but now they are really another band so it's all a bit weird.

5 Architecture

  • 1. Victorian architecture in the United States was copied straight from England.
  • 2. I would've been intrigued by being a film director. I would've been intrigued by politics. I thought about architecture.
  • 3. Bridges are perhaps the most invisible form of public architecture.
