My wife disagrees with 100 percent of what I say. That's the same marriage I have.

Obviously the anti-ERA people are tickled about my ordeal because it proves that the ERA breaks up families. When they point out that feminism is a dangerous thing I just say marriage is pretty precarious too.

In response to our fast-food culture a 'slow food' movement appeared. Out of hurried parenthood a move toward slow parenting could be growing. With vital government supports for state-of-the-art public child care and paid parental leave maybe we would be ready to try slow love and marriage.

Traditional marriage between a man and a woman has been a cornerstone of our society for generations. If we are going to change that it ought to be done by the will of the people.

  • 1. You get to a certain age where you prepare yourself for happiness. Sometimes you never remember to actually get happy.
  • 2. I never had little brothers so I was totally not used to hearing a lot of cussing at a young age! I learned what 'pull my finger' meant the hard way.

2 Amazing

  • 1. It's just amazing that there are so many prejudices even now.
  • 2. Giving birth was the most amazing thing I've ever done. I'd been living in a Third World country and I said 'I'm going to just squat behind a tree.' I basically did that but in a chair in my living room. I didn't want a sterile hospital room. I didn't want doctors. I had a midwife.
  • 3. It's awesome to see something like 'Inception' which is just mind-blowing and amazing and it actually resonates with the audiences. I feel like that's rare.

3 Anger

  • 1. When anger rises think of the consequences.
  • 2. As far as having peace within myself the one way I can do that is forgiving the people who have done wrong to me. It causes more stress to build up anger. Peace is more productive.
  • 3. Whatever is begun in anger ends in shame.

4 Anniversary

  • 1. This year as we celebrate the 230th anniversary of America's independence please remember the symbols that are sacred to this country. Fly Old Glory high and show your respect and admiration for this great nation and the values we hold dear.
  • 2. We are not the same persons this year as last nor are those we love. It is a happy chance if we changing continue to love a changed person.
  • 3. I was always very grateful to 'em and am grateful to 'em now. I went back a couple of years ago and did their 20th anniversary show. But the longer I stayed on Hee Haw the worse things got for me musically.

5 Architecture

  • 1. The architecture of our future is not only unfinished the scaffolding has hardly gone up.
