Many women cut back what had to be done at home by redefining what the house the marriage and sometimes what the child needs. One woman described a fairly common pattern: I do my half. I do half of his half and the rest doesn't get done.

In response to our fast-food culture a 'slow food' movement appeared. Out of hurried parenthood a move toward slow parenting could be growing. With vital government supports for state-of-the-art public child care and paid parental leave maybe we would be ready to try slow love and marriage.

Traditional marriage between a man and a woman has been a cornerstone of our society for generations. If we are going to change that it ought to be done by the will of the people.

  • 1. No no I was only funny on stage really. I I think I was funny as a person toward my classmates when I was very young. You know when I was a child up to about the age of 12.
  • 2. I never quite toed the line. I was a bit disruptive. All my early school reports from the age of 5 were 'Daniel must learn not to distract others.' And now that's what I do for a living.

2 Amazing

  • 1. I've performed in Auburn Hills at The Palace so I haven't really been in downtown Detroit but I've been able to be here and I can really see what the city was. Like I can feel why Motown started here and how amazing it was.

3 Anger

  • 2. I am so excited this year getting to play the 85th Anniversary Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. Everyone knows on Thanksgiving morning to get up turn on the TV and watch the parade so to be an actual participant is going to be fun and I'm looking forward to it. I am gonna have to put on my deer hunting gear though to stay warm!

5 Architecture

  • 1. When you look at Japanese traditional architecture you have to look at Japanese culture and its relationship with nature. You can actually live in a harmonious close contact with nature – this very unique to Japan.
  • 2. But after the time there I'd had it with fashion again so I left to go to architecture school in a summer course at Harvard which didn't last very long.
  • 3. The British political system and the whole clapped out Westminster architecture and the language that we use about politics it's completely unsustainable. You either decide to be part of that transition to do something different. Or you cling to old certainties.
