I've never really had a problem with the imagination level of an audience. They're always smarter and savvier than any studio exec will give them credit for.

3 Anger

  • 3. It's usually a big kind of vent of frustration or anger or sadness that puts me in the right frame of mind to write. It's such a cliche to say that artists write when they're down but it's true for me. It's a relief to get out what's eating away at my heart or my soul or my head.

4 Anniversary

  • 1. This anniversary serves to help remind the American people that in the wake of one of the greatest political scandals and misuse of power in our history as a nation scandal produced important reforms that served this nation well for two decades.
  • 2. The 150th anniversary of Penn State will highlight what is important and good about this distinguished institution and the fine people and research that it produces.
  • 3. So I think you have to marry for the right reasons and marry the right person.

5 Architecture

  • 1. Architecture is the will of an epoch translated into space.
  • 2. They can do without architecture who have no olives nor wines in the cellar.
  • 3. To provide meaningful architecture is not to parody history but to articulate it.
