It's easier to write from my own life and it's also more fun. I always write about relationships for instance whether they're romantic relationships friendships encounters… there's always a lesson to be learned from them. 3 The first book I wrote was The Bride Price which was a romantic book but my husband burnt the book when he saw it. I was the typical African woman I'd done this privately I wanted him to look at it approve it and he said he wouldn't read it.
4 In the West audiences think I am a stereotyped action star or that I always play hitmen or killers. But in Hong Kong I did a lot of comedy many dramatic films and most of all romantic roles lots of love stories. I was like a romance novel hero.
