1 Age

  • 1. My mother enjoyed old age and because of her I've begun to enjoy parts of it too. So far I've had it good and am crumbling nicely.

2 Amazing

  • 1. There's no way in the world that just because women turn the number 40 they're anything less than amazing. That's crazy. If anything you're even more amazing!

3 Anger

  • 1. In high school I dated a white woman. She would come to visit me on the rez. And her dad who was very racist didn't like that at all. And he told her one time 'You shouldn't go on the rez if you're white because Indians have a lot of anger in their heart.'
  • 2. Violence is a problem we all want to solve. I want to make sure that kids learn to deal with anger by learning how to talk with people to solve problems. Here in the United States Senate I want to make sure we have safe schools safe neighborhoods and good things for kids to do after school!
  • 3. Every child senses with all the horse sense that's in him that any parent is angry inside when children misbehave and they dread more the anger that is rarely or never expressed openly wondering how awful it might be.

4 Anniversary

  • 1. Chains do not hold a marriage together. It is threads hundreds of tiny threads which sew people together through the years.
  • 2. But to sustain a marriage for 50 years you have to get real a little bit and find someone who is understanding and who you can grow with. My mom always says 'Marry the man who loves you a millimeter more.'
  • 3. See the 'On the Road' that came out in 1957 was censored. A lot of the honesty of it the bitter honesty is in the original scroll version that came out in 2007 on the 50-year anniversary. Back then there was so much post-Second World War fear that was imposed on everybody – 'You must live life this way' – and these guys were bored.

5 Architecture

  • 1. Spiritual space is lost in gaining convenience. I saw the need to create a mixture of Japanese spiritual culture and modern western architecture.
  • 2. Talking about music is like dancing about architecture.
  • 3. You look at the steamboat the railroad the car the airplane – not all of these were invented in the Anglo-American world but they were popularized and extended by it. They were made possible by the financial architecture the capital intensive operations invented and developed by the Anglo-Americans.
