These days too many of us seem inclined to cover our ears close our eyes and blindly follow the most narrow conservative tenets of religion or else seek comfort in the ancient traditions of New Age ritual.

There is no age height or weight requirement to skate. It is good exercise no matter what your age is. If you want to be competitive most start young. But I practice with many adult competitors.

1 Age

  • 1. My dad encouraged us to fail. Growing up he would ask us what we failed at that week. If we didn't have something he would be disappointed. It changed my mindset at an early age that failure is not the outcome failure is not trying. Don't be afraid to fail.

2 Amazing

  • 1. Los Angeles is a very magical place when you take the entertainment industry out of it. You have beautiful beaches and amazing mountains here. I'm a big rock climber. I head out into the mountains whenever I have free time. It's amazing.
  • 2. I always knew that St. Jude was an amazing organization but meeting the kids and seeing how the hospital works first hand was truly beautiful. It doesn't feel like a regular hospital all dreary and sad. It's a colorful beautiful comfortable fun place to live and the energy is wonderful.

3 Anger

  • 1. And we know there has been horrendous loss of life and suffering and we know that there is anger. Anyone who came anywhere near the general election in constituencies with a substantial Muslim population knows that.
  • 2. Be modest humble simple. Control your anger.
  • 3. It is wise to direct your anger towards problems – not people to focus your energies on answers – not excuses.

4 Anniversary

  • 1. Never tell a secret to a bride or a groom wait until they have been married longer.
  • 2. Chains do not hold a marriage together. It is threads hundreds of tiny threads which sew people together through the years.
  • 3. We can't forget what happened on May 4th 1970 when four students gave up their lives because they had the American constitutional right of peaceful protest. They gave up their lives. And to sing that song in that spot on that anniversary was very emotional for us.

5 Architecture

  • 1. Post-Modernism was a reaction against Modernism. It came quite early to music and literature and a little later to architecture. And I think it's still coming to computer science.
  • 2. Architecture will always express the technical and social progress of the country in which it is carried out. If we wish to give it the human content that it lacks we must participate in the political struggle.
  • 3. I like things that are kind of eclectic when one thing doesn't go with another. That's why I love Rome. The town itself is that way. It's where Fascist architecture meets classic Renaissance where the ancient bangs up against the contemporary. It has a touch of everything. That's my style and that's what my work is about.
