I am not opposed to intelligence reform on its face but any changes should reflect the current context.

1 Age

  • 1. There's also some element of coming of age during the Reagan administration which everybody has painted as some glorious time in America but I remember as being a very very dark time. There was apocalypse in the air the punk rock movement made sense.
  • 2. The older generation had greater respect for land than science. But we live in an age when science more than soil has become the provider of growth and abundance. Living just on the land creates loneliness in an age of globality.
  • 3. For me from a pretty young age up until about 21 years old hallucinogenics had a huge place in my life.

2 Amazing

  • 1. I don't like staying in hotels. I like to be in my own bed. San Diego as a city is really awesome. The only hard part of it for me is that I'm away from my family and my house. But as far as shooting down there we get amazing locations and the crew is really really stellar down there. They are really fun.
  • 2. I have a lot of amazing women you know women in my life who have been an example for me of what not to do.
  • 3. The past 6 and a half years have been the most amazing years of my life. It's sad it has come to an end but Avril and I are still family and moving forward in the most positive way possible.

3 Anger

  • 1. There are people still in the Republican Party that I believe practice the communication of anger of disappointment of regret of pain of sorrow of suffering. That's not what the American people want to hear.
  • 2. Anger is a great force. If you control it it can be transmuted into a power which can move the whole world.
  • 3. The quickest way to defuse fear or insecurity or anger is usually humor. I think comics figure that out quickly and once you figure it out you think 'Hey if I can do this and get paid that would be kind of cool.'

4 Anniversary

  • 1. I think you have to be willing to take a bullet for somebody if you're going to stand up there take your vows and be married to them for the rest of your life.
  • 2. But to sustain a marriage for 50 years you have to get real a little bit and find someone who is understanding and who you can grow with. My mom always says 'Marry the man who loves you a millimeter more.'
  • 3. Why does a woman work ten years to change a man's habits and then complain that he's not the man she married?

5 Architecture

  • 1. Architecture is the reaching out for the truth.
  • 2. There will never be great architects or great architecture without great patrons.
  • 3. But I feel truly wowed by the architecture and the meaning of the architecture if you get lost in it and think about the man hours in the smallest little chapel and the love involved. God it's fantastic.
