I think I'm fascinated by the power of religion in our culture. Like a lot of secular liberal people I ignored it for a long time. Lately of course just from a political perspective it's impossible to ignore.

  • 1. My inspiration was my mom. She's a great cook and she still cooks and we still banter back and forth about cooking. Growing up in a mostly Portuguese community food was important and the family table was extremely important. At a very young age I understood that.

  • 1. And this year is going to be the 25th anniversary of the 17-0 team the only undefeated season.

  • 3. Both the Obama and Romney campaigns said they pulled all their political ads today in observance of the September 11th anniversary. But politics wasn't very far offstage. The Obama campaign sees foreign policy as an advantage this year.

5 Architecture

  • 1. Victorian architecture in the United States was copied straight from England.
  • 2. I left science then I went into art but I approach things very analytically. I choose to pursue both art and architecture as completely separate fields rather than merging them.
  • 3. In addressing a task one almost always has several possible options sometimes only a few and they may all be practical and functional. But they lack the aesthetic aspect that raises it to architecture.
