1 Age

  • 1. Old age is like everything else. To make a success of it you've got to start young.

3 Anger

  • 1. Anger is a momentary madness so control your passion or it will control you.
  • 2. I did not think that I was angry but clearly anger was reflected in my writing. I did not think that I had been affected emotionally but it was clear from my writing that I was still very emotional about the trial some six months after it ended.
  • 3. For me music is a vehicle to bring our pain to the surface getting it back to that humble and tender spot where with luck it can lose its anger and become compassion again.

4 Anniversary

  • 1. And currently there are four to five new works in the pipeline for upcoming celebrations such as the Sydney 2000 Olympics Australian Federation my 50th Birthday and Sydney Dance Company's 25th Anniversary.
  • 2. On this important anniversary we must remember that while we have come a long way in eliminating barriers critical work remains to ensure all Americans can live up to their full potential.
  • 3. Since I wrote to you last we have got our chapel beautifully lighted with gas and have had our anniversary.

5 Architecture

  • 1. Prose is architecture not interior decoration and the Baroque is over.
  • 2. Poetry is not only dream and vision it is the skeleton architecture of our lives. It lays the foundations for a future of change a bridge across our fears of what has never been before.
