Previous Article True there has been more talk of peace since 1945 than I should think at any other time in history. At least we hear more and read more about it because man's words for good or ill can now so easily reach the millions.
1 For the victor peace means the preservation of the position of power which he has secured. For the vanquished it means resigning himself to the position left to him.
2 As a privileged survivor of the First World War I hope I may be allowed to interject here a deeply felt tribute to those who were not fortunate enough to succeed but who shared the signal honor of trying to the last to salvage peace.
3 With the help of dedicated Americans from our party every party and no party at all I intend to mount that stairway to preach peace for our nation and world.
4 But now Americans they felt a sense of peace and protection because they've been separated by so many thousands of miles of ocean. And you know the fact that it's come to the U.S. like this is so sad and yet you know what can you do? It's here.
