I think Bond the character is distinct: He's British he has a certain code that he lives by he's incorruptible… he's a classical hero but he's also fallible. He has inner demons inner conflicts and he's a romantic. 3 The first book I wrote was The Bride Price which was a romantic book but my husband burnt the book when he saw it. I was the typical African woman I'd done this privately I wanted him to look at it approve it and he said he wouldn't read it.
4 In the West audiences think I am a stereotyped action star or that I always play hitmen or killers. But in Hong Kong I did a lot of comedy many dramatic films and most of all romantic roles lots of love stories. I was like a romance novel hero.
