I am not opposed to intelligence reform on its face but any changes should reflect the current context.

  • 1. As I approve of a youth that has something of the old man in him so I am no less pleased with an old man that has something of the youth. He that follows this rule may be old in body but can never be so in mind.
  • 2. Everyone knows that by far the happiest and universally enjoyable age of man is the first. What is there about babies which makes us hug and kiss and fondle them so that even an enemy would give them help at that age?
  • 3. Light and funny has a more compelling quality when you're younger. But I haven't abandoned the genre: I love falling down I love Lucille Ball. It's just that a lot of those stories revolve around problems that I can't convincingly portray at this age.

2 Amazing

  • 1. 'Chasing Amy' was an amazing role but then after that I went and did 'Big Daddy' and you're the girlfriend or you're the best friend. I wasn't getting the Nicole Kidman roles.
  • 2. Everybody knows about Pearl Harbor. The thing that really fascinated me is that through this tragedy there was this amazing American heroism.
  • 3. It's amazing how ideas start out isn't it?

3 Anger

  • 1. When angry count to four when very angry swear.
  • 2. There are people still in the Republican Party that I believe practice the communication of anger of disappointment of regret of pain of sorrow of suffering. That's not what the American people want to hear.
  • 3. Anger is a transient hatred or at least very like it.

4 Anniversary

  • 1. A wedding anniversary is the celebration of love trust partnership tolerance and tenacity. The order varies for any given year.
  • 2. Presently the Commission for Commemorating 350 Years of American Jewish History has been brought about to encourage and sponsor a variety of historical activities that advance our understanding of the American Jewish experience as it marks this milestone anniversary.
  • 3. Marriage is an alliance entered into by a man who can't sleep with the window shut and a woman who can't sleep with the window open.

5 Architecture

  • 1. Less is more.
  • 2. Does it follow that the house has nothing in common with art and is architecture not to be included in the arts? Only a very small part of architecture belongs to art: the tomb and the monument. Everything else that fulfils a function is to be excluded from the domain of art.
  • 3. There will never be great architects or great architecture without great patrons.
