I spent a lot of years on the road and what happens is you find out who your real friends are and you find out where your strengths and weaknesses lie in communication. I've had the same friends for 20 years now and I can count them on one hand. 1 The fact that we are I don't know how many millions of people yet communication complete communication is completely impossible between two of those people is to me one of the biggest tragic themes in the world.
2 People break down after a couple of hours. All the defenses go down and there's a kind of communication that if I spent 20 years in a living room with one of these people I would never never know as much about them as I do in that one day.
3 It's about communication. It's about honesty. It's about treating people in the organization as deserving to know the facts. You don't try to give them half the story. You don't try to hide the story. You treat them as – as true equals and you communicate and you communicate and communicate.
4 Strange about parents. We have such easy access to them and such daunting problems of communication.
