I dropped out of school for a semester transferred to another college switched to an art major graduated got married and for a while worked as a graphic designer.

I was really desperate. I don't know if you can remember back that far but when I went to graduate school they didn't want females in graduate school. They were very open about it. They didn't mince their words. But then I got in and I got my degree.

I'm not retiring. I am graduating. Today is my graduation day. Retirement means that you'll just go ahead and live on your laurels and surf all day in Oceanside. It ain't going to happen.

I disagree with a lot of those changes however at the end of the day – I go down to recruit graduation at least once or twice a year.

  • 1. I knew at an early age I wanted to act. Acting was always easy for me. I don't believe in predestination but I do believe that once you get where ever it is you are going that is where you were going to be.

2 Amazing

  • 1. It's amazing how quickly people on the internet can pick something up but it's also amazing how quickly they can drop it.
  • 2. '10' was amazing! I had no career before '10' and then all of a sudden I was able to do pretty much whatever I was able to do in the business.
  • 3. You can lose a game but I see guys every week including myself you lose a game it's a tough loss you're down two weeks later you forgot about it. You know it's amazing how down you were but all of the sudden you're like it never happened.

3 Anger

  • 1. The American people are smart. They've gotten sick of the predictable hyperpartisan talking points and canned anger.
  • 2. Generalised anger and frustration is something that gets you in the studio and gets you to work – though it's not necessarily evident in anything that's finished.
  • 3. We are losing sight of civility in government and politics. Debate and dialogue is taking a back seat to the politics of destruction and anger and control. Dogma has replaced thoughtful discussion between people of differing views.

4 Anniversary

  • 1. The bonds of matrimony are like any other bonds – they mature slowly.
  • 2. I think you have to be willing to take a bullet for somebody if you're going to stand up there take your vows and be married to them for the rest of your life.

5 Architecture

  • 1. Opera next to Gothic architecture is one of the strangest inventions of Western man. It could not have been foreseen by any logical process.
  • 2. I was a student at Columbia College actually in the Architecture school. Paul would drive in from Queens showing me these new songs. I can't remember us working it out.
  • 3. You can just drift unhappily towards this vision of heaven on earth and ultimately that is what architecture is a vision of: Heaven on earth at it's best.
