  • 1. You get to a certain age and you just want to prove that you can still rock – that you've still got it.

2 Amazing

  • 1. I go to Saint Barth in the French West Indies for two weeks each year. That place is amazing. Amazing people beautiful beaches great wine wonderful harbors… It's incredibly romantic.
  • 2. I remember going for the first time to a place called The Roxy in New York because you can see people breakdancing there. That's the only reason I went! It's amazing kids are still doing that.
  • 3. I love to go shopping at Target. They have so much stuff there you can buy almost anything it's really amazing.

3 Anger

  • 1. Whether one agrees or disagrees with the tactics of the Occupy Wall Street movement it's easy to understand the inspiration for its anger as well as its impatience.
  • 2. Anger is never without an argument but seldom with a good one.
  • 3. My humour has always come from anger but I have to make sure I don't just get angry and jump on a soapbox.

4 Anniversary

  • 1. The London games mark the 24th anniversary of my winning two golds and setting the world record in the heptathlon. Someone is going to want it records are made to be broken – it's only a matter of time. I hope mine will outlive me.
