  • 1. 'Dallas' hit a chord back in the late Seventies and Eighties because it was the age of greed: here you have this unapologetic character who is mean and nasty and ruthless and does it all with an evil grin. I think people related to JR back then because we all have someone we know exactly like him. Everyone in the world knows a JR.
  • 2. What turns me on about the digital age what excited me personally is that you have closed the gap between dreaming and doing. You see it used to be that if you wanted to make a record of a song you needed a studio and a producer. Now you need a laptop.
  • 3. Never say never but the thought of electively cutting oneself is beyond my grasp and I also object to it politically. Denying the lines on our faces makes a comment about age and wisdom I don't care to make.

2 Amazing

  • 1. There's the Hollywood sign there's Griffith Observatory there's the great amazing Los Angeles Basin. It's 465 square miles of insanity and the best food on the planet.
  • 2. I've had four amazing men in my life very strong powerful wonderful men. I certainly will have a relationship with someone but I don't think I will get married again.
  • 3. A lot of people fear death because they think that so overwhelming an experience has to be painful but I've seen quite a few deaths and with one exception I've never known anyone to undergo anything like agony. That's amazing when you think about it. I mean how complicated the mechanism is that's being taken apart.

3 Anger

  • 1. Fantastic tyrant of the amorous heart. How hard thy yoke how cruel thy dart. Those escape your anger who refuse your sway and those are punished most who most obey.
  • 2. I'm not a screamer. I'm confrontational but I don't think that translates into anger.
  • 3. Anger is a manifestation of a deeper issue… and that for me is based on insecurity self-esteem and loneliness.

4 Anniversary

  • 1. Marriage is an act of will that signifies and involves a mutual gift which unites the spouses and binds them to their eventual souls with whom they make up a sole family – a domestic church.
  • 2. Why does a woman work ten years to change a man's habits and then complain that he's not the man she married?
  • 3. As the third anniversary of the September 11th attacks draws near we must ensure our nation is prepared to handle the continued threat of violence and terrorism on our country.

5 Architecture

  • 1. When I'm in London Claridge's is a great favourite. I'm a big fan of art deco architecture and the rooms are extraordinary.
  • 2. Architecture is a art when one consciously or unconsciously creates aesthetic emotion in the atmosphere and when this environment produces well being.
  • 3. I love building spaces: architecture furniture all of it probably more than fashion. The development procedure is more tactile. It's about space and form and it's something you can share with other people.
