2 Amazing

3 Anger

  • 1. Yeah to me acting is very therapeutic. I get out a lot of anger and frustration.
  • 2. It's usually a big kind of vent of frustration or anger or sadness that puts me in the right frame of mind to write. It's such a cliche to say that artists write when they're down but it's true for me. It's a relief to get out what's eating away at my heart or my soul or my head.

4 Anniversary

  • 1. The 150th anniversary of Penn State will highlight what is important and good about this distinguished institution and the fine people and research that it produces.
  • 2. Marriage is a coming together for better or for worse hopefully enduring and intimate to the degree of being sacred.
  • 3. Next month I will celebrate my 30th anniversary of marriage with my beautiful bride Vicki. Our marriage has been a blessing. I have gained even more respect for the institution over the past 3 decades and will defend it against attack.

5 Architecture

  • 1. You look at the steamboat the railroad the car the airplane – not all of these were invented in the Anglo-American world but they were popularized and extended by it. They were made possible by the financial architecture the capital intensive operations invented and developed by the Anglo-Americans.
  • 2. The dialogue between client and architect is about as intimate as any conversation you can have because when you're talking about building a house you're talking about dreams.
  • 3. Architecture is my work and I've spent my whole life at a drawing board but life is more important than architecture. What matters is to improve human beings.
