I am not opposed to intelligence reform on its face but any changes should reflect the current context.

It is not government's job to mandate responsibility on our behalf. We have the intelligence and good sense to make wise consumption choices for ourselves and our children. It is up to us to do what is best for our health and our children's health.

  • 1. People say women shouldn't have long hair over a certain age but I've never done what everyone says.
  • 2. I'm glad I was born when I was. My time was the golden age of variety. If I were starting out again now maybe things would happen for me but it certainly would not be on a variety show with 28 musicians 12 dancers two major guest stars 50 costumes a week by Bob Mackie. The networks just wouldn't spend the money today.
  • 3. I've watched my peers get better with age and hoped that would happen with me.

2 Amazing

  • 1. It's amazing that you can listen to any song and you can always tell when there's some substance beneath it and when there isn't. Even if it's poetically written and technically brilliant I'd rather hear something that's all over the place but has some soul to it.
  • 2. Katy Perry is the sexiest woman I've ever kissed. It was amazing and very purple – she had purple lipstick on. I don't think there will ever be anything cooler than kissing her… until I marry her maybe!
  • 3. With so many amazing artists on one bill we expect this concert to be incredibly powerful in its ability to raise both money and awareness for the long-term rebuilding effort we must all support.

3 Anger

  • 1. Anger begins with folly and ends with repentance.
  • 2. I'm not angry I'm not an angry person but I do sometimes like playing with the perception of anger as in pretending that I'm more angry than I actually am and sometimes it works quite well.
  • 3. People are always angry at America. They're absolutely certain that America either caused their problems or is deliberately not fixing their problems. But the anger is always directed at America and never at Americans.

4 Anniversary

5 Architecture

  • 1. I was a student at Columbia College actually in the Architecture school. Paul would drive in from Queens showing me these new songs. I can't remember us working it out.
  • 2. The Egyptian contribution to architecture was more concerned with remembering the dead than the living.
  • 3. Spiritual space is lost in gaining convenience. I saw the need to create a mixture of Japanese spiritual culture and modern western architecture.
