Nowadays many Americans have forgotten the meaning and traditions of Memorial Day. At cemeteries across the country the graves of the fallen are sadly ignored and worse neglected.

  • 1. I was living on the wrong side of the tracks in Evanston Illinois in a home for boys. We had these Jackson 5 records. I really related to their voices – they were about my age but they were doing it.

2 Amazing

  • 1. Ever consider what pets must think of us? I mean here we come back from a grocery store with the most amazing haul – chicken pork half a cow. They must think we're the greatest hunters on earth!
  • 2. My favorite designer is Christian Lacroix not just because his clothes are amazing and I love them but because he's so nice. When I did his fashion show he was the first one to arrive there and he helped everyone.
  • 3. I loved hip-hop. The first stuff I heard was Public Enemy and I couldn't believe it. It was amazing and I've always loved hip-hop.

3 Anger

  • 1. Well all comedy starts with anger. You get angry and its never for a good reason right? You know its not a good reason. And then you try and work it from there.
  • 2. Anger is never without an argument but seldom with a good one.
  • 3. One should not lose one's temper unless one is certain of getting more and more angry to the end.

4 Anniversary

  • 1. We had a relationship that lasted 44 years. Herbert and I lived together 10 years before we were married. He always gave me a little heart for whatever anniversary.
  • 2. It was very hard for all of us. It's still very hard. The anniversary of his death just passed and every single one of his friends still after all these years… it's unbelievable.
  • 3. Both the Obama and Romney campaigns said they pulled all their political ads today in observance of the September 11th anniversary. But politics wasn't very far offstage. The Obama campaign sees foreign policy as an advantage this year.
