  • 1. Canada has a passive-aggressive culture with a lot of sarcasm and righteousness. That went with my weird messianic complex. The ego is a fascinating monster. I was taught from a young age that I had to serve so that turned into me thinking I had to save the planet.

2 Amazing

  • 1. Well Freddie Mercury is a really huge rock star in my head. I've always thought he was just so tough and such an amazing entertainer really a contradiction in many ways as well. So he was incredible.

3 Anger

  • 1. I think my passion is misinterpreted as anger sometimes. And I don't think people are ready for the message that I'm delivering and delivering with a sense of violent love.
  • 2. I'm fascinated by rap and by hip-hop. I think there's a lot of poetry in it. There's a lot of anger a lot of social energy in it. And I think you'd better listen to it pretty carefully 'cause it's important.

4 Anniversary

  • 1. I was always very grateful to 'em and am grateful to 'em now. I went back a couple of years ago and did their 20th anniversary show. But the longer I stayed on Hee Haw the worse things got for me musically.
  • 2. June 2005 is the five year anniversary of the debut of Battle Pope.
  • 3. See the 'On the Road' that came out in 1957 was censored. A lot of the honesty of it the bitter honesty is in the original scroll version that came out in 2007 on the 50-year anniversary. Back then there was so much post-Second World War fear that was imposed on everybody – 'You must live life this way' – and these guys were bored.

5 Architecture
