1 Age

  • 1. I came back to work when my children were two months old. At that early age they seem to have little awareness of anybody but their Raggedy Ann dolls so it wasn't a matter of them missing me. I was missing them.

2 Amazing

  • 3. I never travel without my Stetson but the more I wear it the more I realise that no one wears hats any more. When I was a kid everybody wore hats especially in Texas but I get off the plane in Dallas now and I'm the only guy with a hat. It's amazing.

3 Anger

  • 1. Anger is the most impotent of passions. It effects nothing it goes about and hurts the one who is possessed by it more than the one against whom it is directed.
  • 2. With Stacy it was interesting because you know he was within all this chaos all these different lives that were so broken and so much anger and so much frustration and their skating came out of that their different styles came out of that.
  • 3. Take the high road. No matter how much strife and consternation frustration and anger you might be confronted with – don't go to that level.

4 Anniversary

  • 1. Love grows more tremendously full swift poignant as the years multiply.
  • 2. Why does a woman work ten years to change a man's habits and then complain that he's not the man she married?
  • 3. I am so excited this year getting to play the 85th Anniversary Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. Everyone knows on Thanksgiving morning to get up turn on the TV and watch the parade so to be an actual participant is going to be fun and I'm looking forward to it. I am gonna have to put on my deer hunting gear though to stay warm!

5 Architecture

  • 1. The intellectual force of the West is still dominant but other cultures are getting stronger. I expect that we will develop a new way of thinking in architecture and urban planning and that less will be based on our models.
  • 2. I strive for an architecture from which nothing can be taken away.
  • 3. Whatever good things we build end up building us.
