I won't say there aren't any Harvard graduates who have never asserted a superior attitude. But they have done so to our great embarrassment and in no way represent the Harvard I know.

  • 1. With age you see people fail more. You see yourself fail more. How do you keep that fearlessness of a kid? You keep going. Luckily I'm not afraid to make a fool of myself.
  • 2. I don't know why people are so obsessed with age anyway. I mean 90 is the new 70 70 is the new 50 and 50 is the new 40 so the whole act-your-age thing? Only up to a point.

2 Amazing

3 Anger

  • 1. I share the anger but ultimately to govern this country it takes more than anger. It takes experience. It takes positions that reflect the best values of the American people.
  • 2. For a long time I thought I could deal with my anger and hostility on my own. But I couldn't. I denied that it had affected me and yet I was so frantic on the inside with other people: I needed to be constantly reassured.
  • 3. Good satire comes from anger. It comes from a sense of injustice that there are wrongs in the world that need to be fixed. And what better place to get that well of venom and outrage boiling than a newsroom because you're on the front lines.

4 Anniversary

  • 1. I was always very grateful to 'em and am grateful to 'em now. I went back a couple of years ago and did their 20th anniversary show. But the longer I stayed on Hee Haw the worse things got for me musically.
  • 2. My last trip to New Orleans was for the fifth anniversary of Katrina and I had the awesome opportunity to bring my family down. We all worked on a house together and met some of the families.
  • 3. The 150th anniversary of Penn State will highlight what is important and good about this distinguished institution and the fine people and research that it produces.

5 Architecture

  • 1. Once I got out of architecture school I decided not to be an architect I just started my own little design studio.
  • 2. Warmth isn't what minimalists are thought to have.
  • 3. Make big plans aim high in hope and work remembering that a noble logical diagram once recorded will not die.
