But what you could perhaps do with in these days is a word of most sincere sympathy. Your movement is carried internally by so strong a truth and necessity that victory in one form or another cannot elude you for long.

I don't care about sympathy. I care about playing a character who's understandable and clear.

I'm not going to give a courtesy gift to a person who's going to win and I'm not going to give a sympathy gift to a person who's going to lose.

3 Anger

  • 2. I guess lyrically they're similar because they're talking about escaping the kind of misery that likes company. 'The Last One Alive ' for me is very simple. It's just about alienation really that causes anger.
  • 3. There's a lot of bitterness there's a lot of anger out there. We all have to work hard to heal those wounds.

4 Anniversary

  • 2. Experts on romance say for a happy marriage there has to be more than a passionate love. For a lasting union they insist there must be a genuine liking for each other. Which in my book is a good definition for friendship.
  • 3. Last week the House of Representatives passed a resolution honoring the victims and heroes of September 11th. As we commemorate the anniversary of 9-11 we must also remember that the threat is still very real today.

5 Architecture

  • 1. Architecture is my work and I've spent my whole life at a drawing board but life is more important than architecture. What matters is to improve human beings.
  • 2. I love building spaces: architecture furniture all of it probably more than fashion. The development procedure is more tactile. It's about space and form and it's something you can share with other people.
  • 3. Georgian architecture respected the scale of both the individual and the community.
