Feudal societies don't create great cinema we have great theatre. The egalitarian societies create great cinema. The Americans the French. Because equality is sort of what the cinema deals with. It deals with stories which don't fall into 'Everybody in their place and who's who ' and all that. But the theatre's full of that.

There's a remarkable amount of sexism on TV. When male characters are flawed they're interesting deep and complex. But when female characters are flawed they're just a mess. It's good to put more flawed but interesting female characters out there because it promotes equality.

'Vote Love' means vote equality. It means vote change. It means vote what's right for humanity.

We will have bigger bureaucracies bigger labor unions and bigger state-run corporations. It will be harder to be an entrepreneur because of punitive taxes and regulations. The rewards of success will be expropriated for the sake of attaining greater income equality.

  • 1. In every age there has been a stream of popular opinion that has carried all before it and given a family character as it were to the century.
  • 2. I'm never overawed by a situation and I think that's because I've always looked several years older than I am. So because people were treating me like I was 40 when I was 29 I've always felt in control of a situation. People used to say when you're 32 you'll look 32. I'm still waiting for that moment where my age catches up with my appearance.
  • 3. Well my son really loves wildlife. And everytime he draws a polar bear I want to tell him there probably won't any by the time… he's my age. That's kinda hard to deal with.

2 Amazing

  • 1. I think Angelina Jolie has done amazing amazing things and the international adoption rate just since her has skyrocketed. It's unbelievable.
  • 2. Becoming food savvy is one thing but it's amazing how fast savvy turns to snooty and snooty leaves you preparing three-hour meals that break your budget and that the kids won't even eat.
  • 3. You can lose a game but I see guys every week including myself you lose a game it's a tough loss you're down two weeks later you forgot about it. You know it's amazing how down you were but all of the sudden you're like it never happened.

3 Anger

  • 1. Anger is seldom without argument but seldom with a good one.
  • 2. I have to say that anger is the blanket that comes around me and that blunts and blurs my sense of proportion.
  • 3. The American people are smart. They've gotten sick of the predictable hyperpartisan talking points and canned anger.

4 Anniversary

  • 1. It is a matter of public shame that while we have now commemorated our hundredth anniversary not one in every ten children attending Public schools throughout the colonies is acquainted with a single historical fact about Australia.

  • 3. I didn't make my first solo record until 1981 so I don't have any 60's or 70's recordings but I am working on a large boxed set called DUST to be released next year the 20th anniversary of my first solo record.

5 Architecture

  • 1. Chicago is known for good steaks expensive stores and beautiful architecture. Unfortunately the Windy City also enjoys a reputation for corrupt politics violent crime and some of the strictest gun control laws anywhere in the country.
  • 2. Charles was very intent to use his years as Prince of Wales to make his mark while he still had freedom of maneuver that he wouldn't have as King. The first subject he really went for was architecture. It made an impact.
  • 3. At this present time matter is still the best way to think of architecture but I'm not so sure for very long. The computer is radicalizing the way we think about our world.
