Feudal societies don't create great cinema we have great theatre. The egalitarian societies create great cinema. The Americans the French. Because equality is sort of what the cinema deals with. It deals with stories which don't fall into 'Everybody in their place and who's who ' and all that. But the theatre's full of that.

There's a remarkable amount of sexism on TV. When male characters are flawed they're interesting deep and complex. But when female characters are flawed they're just a mess. It's good to put more flawed but interesting female characters out there because it promotes equality.

'Vote Love' means vote equality. It means vote change. It means vote what's right for humanity.

We will have bigger bureaucracies bigger labor unions and bigger state-run corporations. It will be harder to be an entrepreneur because of punitive taxes and regulations. The rewards of success will be expropriated for the sake of attaining greater income equality.

  • 1. One already feels like an anachronism writing novels in the age of what-ever-this-is-the-age-of but touring to promote them feels doubly anachronistic. The marketplace is showing an increasing intolerance for the time-honored practice of printing information on paper and shipping it around the country.
  • 2. When a noble life has prepared old age it is not decline that it reveals but the first days of immortality.
  • 3. It's not the normal way to look at things but I experienced death at a really young age and because of that it's been part of my mental landscape that death is really very possible.

2 Amazing

3 Anger

  • 1. Hatred is inveterate anger.
  • 2. I understand Tea Partyers' anger with the system but they are in way over their heads and often racially motivated and I can't be part of that.
  • 3. Somebody hits me I'm going to hit him back. Even if it does look like he hasn't eaten in a while.

4 Anniversary

5 Architecture

  • 1. Of the individual poems some are more lyric and some are more descriptive or narrative. Each poem is fixed in a moment. All those moments written or read together take on the movement and architecture of a narrative.
