1 Age

  • 1. I wanted to be a teacher. I love children so I wanted to deal with children. Then I wanted to be a veterinarian. But by the age of ten or eleven when I opened my mouth and said 'Oh God what's this?' I kind of knew teaching and being a veterinarian were gonna have to wait.
  • 2. The young people have MTV and rock and roll. Why would they go to read poetry? Poetry belongs to the Stone Age. It awakens in us perceptions that go back to those times.
  • 3. We grew up in a very creative environment and were exposed to the arts at a very young age so it's not a surprise that all of us are in some form of the arts.

2 Amazing

  • 1. For years I never knowingly went on a holiday. When I travelled it was for work. Now I am a huge advocate particularly to places which have amazing wildlife such as Antarctica India and Patagonia.
  • 2. I basically left Texas with no money. I was making $3.50 working in some mall so I didn't have a lot of cash. I took $1 000 and headed to California. Along the way I stopped in Vegas because I had always wanted to see Caesar's Palace. So I stopped there and won $2 500 on a slot machine! It was amazing.
  • 3. My family is just an amazing melting pot of wonderful religions and faiths.

3 Anger

  • 1. I did not think that I was angry but clearly anger was reflected in my writing. I did not think that I had been affected emotionally but it was clear from my writing that I was still very emotional about the trial some six months after it ended.
  • 2. He took over anger to intimidate subordinates and in time anger took over him.
  • 3. The more anger towards the past you carry in your heart the less capable you are of loving in the present.

4 Anniversary

  • 1. My mother and stepfather were married 43 years so I have watched a long marriage. I feel like I had a very good role model for that. And you know it's just a number.
  • 2. Married people from my generation are like an endangered species!
  • 3. Actually the year anniversary of what you just heard my son Grahame and I are going to be in a play together and I'm acting for the first time in front of an audience that doesn't consist of a high school drama class.

5 Architecture

  • 1. Architecture should speak of its time and place but yearn for timelessness.
  • 2. But I absolutely believe that architecture is a social activity that has to do with some sort of communication or places of interaction and that to change the environment is to change behaviour.
  • 3. It is not with architecture that one can disseminate any political ideology.
