As governor when I visited our troops in Kuwait and Iraq I served them Thanksgiving dinner. It was a small gesture compared to their sacrifice.

I have nothing against turkey. We eat turkey for Thanksgiving in my house.

In our family mom and dad are Longhorns our first two kids are Aggies and we're hoping our last one is a Longhorn. It gives us family fun on Thanksgiving Day.

  • 1. I'm happy to report that my inner child is still ageless.
  • 2. There are few things that we so unwillingly give up even in advanced age as the supposition that we still have the power of ingratiating ourselves with the fair sex.

2 Amazing

  • 1. Before 'Twilight ' occasionally I would get the 'Hey are you that girl from that movie?' but no one knew my first and last name. The fans of the saga are amazing and it's very flattering.
  • 2. I love insects. They are amazing.
  • 3. I have a really amazing fan club it's contemporary but it's a little bit old school. There's a lot of connection. I have a fan club president who really responds to people.

3 Anger

  • 1. It absolutely helped – to write the father in both 'Juicy' and 'Beasts ' I had to see the whole story from his point of view. All of a sudden I understood more of what my own father must be going through – the fear the frustration the anger… the hope that he'll leave a legacy.
  • 2. The great thing about celebrity culture is that they can't seem to stop themselves from displaying their ridiculous behaviour. I feel it's my job as a serious investigative journalist to witness all kinds of behaviour and then report back to the audience through the prism of my own anger and bitterness.
  • 3. Anger is one of the sinews of the soul.

4 Anniversary

  • 1. One should believe in marriage as in the immortality of the soul.
  • 2. Experts on romance say for a happy marriage there has to be more than a passionate love. For a lasting union they insist there must be a genuine liking for each other. Which in my book is a good definition for friendship.
  • 3. Love is not weakness. It is strong. Only the sacrament of marriage can contain it.

5 Architecture

  • 1. The mother art is architecture. Without an architecture of our own we have no soul of our own civilization.
  • 2. I would like to attend college in the future when I have time. I have always been interested in architecture so perhaps I would pursue a degree in that or business.
  • 3. We shape our buildings thereafter they shape us.
