  • 1. Everyone takes pause at 40. It's the age you have to assess everything in your life. It's the fictitious marker that's always coming up when you're young. The world really does look at you to kind of have it together by 40 and be successful by 40. Whatever success means.

  • 3. We have become a society that can't self-correct that can't address its obvious problems that can't pull out of its nosedive. And so to our list of disasters let us add this fourth entry: we have entered an age of folly that – for all our Facebooking and the twittling tweedle-dee-tweets of the twitterati – we can't wake up from.

2 Amazing

  • 1. Maggie Smith is an amazing woman and not as serious in real life.
  • 2. Receiving the Newcombe Medal for a third year in a row is an amazing honour. The Newcombe Medal is a great occasion for the Australian tennis community to come together and celebrate our sport recognise people's achievements and contributions to Australian tennis.
  • 3. I started walking at night with my sister in law which has been amazing. It really does something for you. It just kind of clears the mind it just makes you feel better things start to tighten a little bit.

3 Anger

  • 1. I'm an angry person angrier than most people would imagine I get flashes of anger. What works for me is working out when it's useful to use that anger.
  • 2. I guess because I had such a horrible life growing up going from place to place not knowing what I was gonna do and ending up being homeless there was a lot of pain and a lot of anger that was coming out through my guitar playing.
  • 3. Anger's not a good emotion.

4 Anniversary

  • 1. Love grows more tremendously full swift poignant as the years multiply.
  • 2. That there's no more important decision in life than who you marry.
  • 3. The 150th anniversary of Penn State will highlight what is important and good about this distinguished institution and the fine people and research that it produces.

5 Architecture

  • 1. Noble life demands a noble architecture for noble uses of noble men. Lack of culture means what it has always meant: ignoble civilization and therefore imminent downfall.
  • 2. The bungalow had more to do with how Americans live today than any other building that has gone remotely by the name of architecture in our history.
  • 3. Architecture is a visual art and the buildings speak for themselves.
