  • 1. Everybody past a certain age regardless of how they look on the outside pretty much constantly dreams of being able to escape from their lives.
  • 2. There's also some element of coming of age during the Reagan administration which everybody has painted as some glorious time in America but I remember as being a very very dark time. There was apocalypse in the air the punk rock movement made sense.
  • 3. Religiosity turns out to be the best indicator of civic involvement: it's more accurate than education age income gender or race.

2 Amazing

  • 1. What's amazing is that I'm recognized all over the world through 'Red Dwarf.' British fans are exceptional but the American fans are something else. Some of them fly 500 miles to stand in line for three hours just to meet me then when they do they collapse. It makes you feel like a rock star!
  • 2. There are amazingly wonderful people in all walks of life some familiar to us and others not. Stretch yourself and really get to know people. People are in many ways one of our greatest treasures.
  • 3. So when I go home sometimes even when I had an amazing game I always think about what I missed.

3 Anger

  • 1. Somebody hits me I'm going to hit him back. Even if it does look like he hasn't eaten in a while.
  • 2. I understand Tea Partyers' anger with the system but they are in way over their heads and often racially motivated and I can't be part of that.
  • 3. I realised one day that men are emotional cripples. We can't express ourselves emotionally we can only do it with anger and humour. Emotional stability and expression comes from women.

4 Anniversary

  • 1. You marry somebody you love everything about them. You grow to learn about them. You never learn everything.
  • 2. I am so excited this year getting to play the 85th Anniversary Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. Everyone knows on Thanksgiving morning to get up turn on the TV and watch the parade so to be an actual participant is going to be fun and I'm looking forward to it. I am gonna have to put on my deer hunting gear though to stay warm!
  • 3. Never tell a secret to a bride or a groom wait until they have been married longer.

5 Architecture

  • 1. Architects in the past have tended to concentrate their attention on the building as a static object. I believe dynamics are more important: the dynamics of people their interaction with spaces and environmental condition.
  • 2. Architecture arouses sentiments in man. The architect's task therefore is to make those sentiments more precise.
  • 3. I search for surprise in my architecture. A work of art should cause the emotion of newness.
