2 Amazing

  • 1. I seriously love to cook… My grandmother was an amazing cook. As a kid I used to help her make handmade pasta Cavatelli and Ravioli. It was one of my favorite things to do. I love the idea of making whatever is in the fridge into something.

  • 3. I started running outside when I was at 'Biggest Loser.' Then I got runner's knee and thought I was never going to be able to shake it. When I overcame that and ran the L.A. Marathon it was such an amazing thing and now running is such a part of my routine.

3 Anger

  • 1. I know to banish anger altogether from one's breast is a difficult task. It cannot be achieved through pure personal effort. It can be done only by God's grace.
  • 2. Anger ventilated often hurries towards forgiveness anger concealed often hardens into revenge.
  • 3. I was a pretty angry kid and I got into military history largely as a way to vent my own anger. As I got older it narrowed down to a more specific focus on individual violence. I'm just trying to understand where it came from.

4 Anniversary

  • 1. Some people ask the secret of our long marriage. We take time to go to a restaurant two times a week. A little candlelight dinner soft music and dancing. She goes Tuesdays I go Fridays.
  • 2. See the 'On the Road' that came out in 1957 was censored. A lot of the honesty of it the bitter honesty is in the original scroll version that came out in 2007 on the 50-year anniversary. Back then there was so much post-Second World War fear that was imposed on everybody – 'You must live life this way' – and these guys were bored.
  • 3. And currently there are four to five new works in the pipeline for upcoming celebrations such as the Sydney 2000 Olympics Australian Federation my 50th Birthday and Sydney Dance Company's 25th Anniversary.

5 Architecture

  • 1. The architecture of our future is not only unfinished the scaffolding has hardly gone up.
  • 2. It seems a fantastic paradox but it is nevertheless a most important truth that no architecture can be truly noble which is not imperfect.
  • 3. I try to give people a different way of looking at their surroundings. That's art to me.
