  • 1. I could have been an architect but I don't think I'd have been very happy. Nearly all modern architecture is a silly game as far as I can see.
  • 2. Architecture is a visual art and the buildings speak for themselves.
  • 3. In addressing a task one almost always has several possible options sometimes only a few and they may all be practical and functional. But they lack the aesthetic aspect that raises it to architecture.
