1 Age

  • 1. The young people have MTV and rock and roll. Why would they go to read poetry? Poetry belongs to the Stone Age. It awakens in us perceptions that go back to those times.
  • 2. Losing both parents at a young age gave me a sense that you can't really control life – so you'd better live it while it's here. I stopped believing in a storybook existence a long time ago. All you can do is push in a direction and see what comes of it.
  • 3. Old age believe me is a good and pleasant thing. It is true you are gently shouldered off the stage but then you are given such a comfortable front stall as spectator.

2 Amazing

  • 1. I've had to calm down I have a kid! It is amazing. It's the best thing ever. Nothing better than it.
  • 2. Adele's amazing I think the world of her and her music and I think Tinie Tempah is cool. To work with someone like Kanye West would be awesome.
  • 3. 'Aladdin' was probably my favorite Disney animation when I was a kid. The animation was great and Robin Williams was unbelievable as the Genie. 'Aladdin' was an amazing adventure and the lead character was a hero for guys which I loved. It wasn't a princess or a girl beating the odds it was a street rat. That seemed really cool to me.

3 Anger

  • 1. A lot of my humor does come from anger. It's like you're not gonna pull one over on me – which is pretty much my motto anyways.
  • 2. An angry man opens his mouth and shuts his eyes.
  • 3. Anger is a killing thing: it kills the man who angers for each rage leaves him less than he had been before – it takes something from him.

4 Anniversary

  • 1. I did that Dior Couture 60th anniversary show in July. It took so long to get ready I think I would have rather been watching.
  • 2. So I think you have to marry for the right reasons and marry the right person.
  • 3. The heart of marriage is memories and if the two of you happen to have the same ones and can savor your reruns then your marriage is a gift from the gods.

5 Architecture

  • 1. The rules of navigation never navigated a ship. The rules of architecture never built a house.
  • 2. Information and inspiration are everywhere… history art architecture everything an illustrator needs. Europe is after all the land that has generated most of the enduring myths and legends of Western culture.
  • 3. I would fix other people's lines if they asked me on occasion. The hard part of writing is the architecture of it getting the story and structuring it. Not the tweaking of lines.
