I think I'm fascinated by the power of religion in our culture. Like a lot of secular liberal people I ignored it for a long time. Lately of course just from a political perspective it's impossible to ignore.

  • 1. A woman my age is not supposed to be attractive or sexually appealing. I just get kinda tired of that.

2 Amazing

I think as a Canadian hockey player you go through it in your mind so many times being able to stand on that blue line and hear your national anthem play and being a gold medal champion you dream of that. And then to be able to accomplish that and actually win a gold medal and represent your country its an amazing feeling.
  • 2. Trophies and medals have never meant much to me. I've had amazing experiences which let you feel like you've accomplished something.
  • 3. My stepdad provided me with an amazing childhood. I played outside like a normal kid I rode my bike I walked to school but the happiest times were when I was acting.

3 Anger

  • 1. Anger has a way of seeping into every other emotion and planting itself in there.
  • 2. When you are offended at any man's fault turn to yourself and study your own failings. Then you will forget your anger.
  • 3. Expressing anger is a form of public littering.

4 Anniversary

  • 1. My mother and stepfather were married 43 years so I have watched a long marriage. I feel like I had a very good role model for that. And you know it's just a number.
  • 2. We can't forget what happened on May 4th 1970 when four students gave up their lives because they had the American constitutional right of peaceful protest. They gave up their lives. And to sing that song in that spot on that anniversary was very emotional for us.
  • 3. The chances of a reunion now are less likely. I was thinking of having a 40th anniversary of the band but now they are really another band so it's all a bit weird.

5 Architecture

  • 1. Organic architecture seeks superior sense of use and a finer sense of comfort expressed in organic simplicity.
  • 2. What has happened to architecture since the second world war that the only passers-by who can contemplate it without pain are those equipped with a white stick and a dog?
  • 3. Building art is a synthesis of life in materialised form. We should try to bring in under the same hat not a splintered way of thinking but all in harmony together.
