  • 1. If you explode onto the scene at a very young age there are so many people pulling you in different directions. It takes time to recalibrate and see what's important.
  • 2. I was getting hot flashes and sweats on a regular basis. That's not normal even for my age.

2 Amazing

  • 1. I tell you it was kind of two-fold. I fortunately had a lot of support. My coach was amazing – he told me to focus on being prepared and that is what I did. Every athlete is nervous – any athlete who tells you they're not nervous isn't telling you the truth. I was as prepared as I could be.
  • 2. I want to be a morning-talk-show host. I love Kelly Ripa's job. She gets to live in New York and has this amazing job hosting a talk show.

3 Anger

  • 1. George wrote Taxman and I played guitar on it. He wrote it in anger at finding out what the taxman did. He had never known before then what could happen to your money.

I've always had a place in my music for my anger as a way of compensating for not having a mechanism to express it in my everyday life. So I've been trying to be more true to myself and that helps me to chill out a little bit. But politically uh-uh. No.
