Let me read you some of my poetry. My poetry just takes me to another level.

The mystic purchases a moment of exhilaration with a lifetime of confusion and the confusion is infectious and destructive. It is confusing and destructive to try and explain anything in terms of anything else poetry in terms of psychology.

I don't look on poetry as closed works. I feel they're going on all the time in my head and I occasionally snip off a length.

2 Amazing

  • 1.   • 2. As a planning board commissioner I have to review the applications for development throughout the city and the bulk of those applications have been for the waterfront. I think the progress the waterfront has made is amazing.

3 Anger

  • 1. As a system of philosophy it is not like the Tower of Babel so daring its high aim as to seek a shelter against God's anger but it is like a pyramid poised on its apex.
  • 2. I accrued anger from people's low opinion of me and my work and for the work I might be capable of.
  • 3. Anger may be kindled in the noblest breasts: but in these slow droppings of an unforgiving temper never takes the shape of consistency of enduring hatred.

4 Anniversary

  • 1. This year as we celebrate the 230th anniversary of America's independence please remember the symbols that are sacred to this country. Fly Old Glory high and show your respect and admiration for this great nation and the values we hold dear.
  • 2. Next month I will celebrate my 30th anniversary of marriage with my beautiful bride Vicki. Our marriage has been a blessing. I have gained even more respect for the institution over the past 3 decades and will defend it against attack.
  • 3. One should believe in marriage as in the immortality of the soul.

5 Architecture

  • 1. What has happened to architecture since the second world war that the only passers-by who can contemplate it without pain are those equipped with a white stick and a dog?
  • 2. One of my favorite vacation places is Miami because of the people the water and the beach – of course – and the architecture on Miami Beach is so wonderful.
  • 3. I studied architecture in New York. So really I was very moved like everyone else to try to contribute something that has that resonance and profundity of it means to all of us.
