3 Anger

  • 1. I really believe that all of us have a lot of darkness in our souls. Anger rage fear sadness. I don't think that's only reserved for people who have horrible upbringings. I think it really exists and is part of the human condition. I think in the course of your life you figure out ways to deal with that.
  • 2. For a long time I thought I could deal with my anger and hostility on my own. But I couldn't. I denied that it had affected me and yet I was so frantic on the inside with other people: I needed to be constantly reassured.
  • 3. Experiencing sadness and anger can make you feel more creative and by being creative you can get beyond your pain or negativity.

4 Anniversary

  • 1. I did that Dior Couture 60th anniversary show in July. It took so long to get ready I think I would have rather been watching.
  • 2. I was always very grateful to 'em and am grateful to 'em now. I went back a couple of years ago and did their 20th anniversary show. But the longer I stayed on Hee Haw the worse things got for me musically.
  • 3. Mr. Speaker I rise today to recognize the Peace Corps as it reached its 45th anniversary on March 1 2006.

5 Architecture

  • 1. I could have been an architect but I don't think I'd have been very happy. Nearly all modern architecture is a silly game as far as I can see.
  • 2. No architecture is so haughty as that which is simple.
  • 3. Switzerland is a small steep country much more up and down than sideways and is all stuck over with large brown hotels built on the cuckoo clock style of architecture.
