2 Amazing

  • 1. I basically left Texas with no money. I was making $3.50 working in some mall so I didn't have a lot of cash. I took $1 000 and headed to California. Along the way I stopped in Vegas because I had always wanted to see Caesar's Palace. So I stopped there and won $2 500 on a slot machine! It was amazing.
  • 2. I think we love bacon because it has all the qualities of an amazing sensory experience. When we cook it the sizzling sound is so appetizing the aroma is maddening the crunch of the texture is so gratifying and the taste delivers every time.
  • 3. In the past few years we've been doing amazing stuff with desserts. Pastry chefs have been using herbs and spices in their desserts. So vanilla cake doesn't have to be just vanilla it can have a little thyme. Or you could have a custard with a little lavender in it which is just amazing.

3 Anger

  • 1. I think anger and laughter are very close to each other when you think about it.
  • 2. When someone says that I'm angry it's actually a compliment. I have not always been direct with my anger in my relationships which is part of why I'd write about it in my songs because I had such fear around expressing anger as a woman.
  • 3. Anger's not a good emotion.

4 Anniversary

  • 1. Presently the Commission for Commemorating 350 Years of American Jewish History has been brought about to encourage and sponsor a variety of historical activities that advance our understanding of the American Jewish experience as it marks this milestone anniversary.
  • 2. I feel there should have been some recognition of the Spice Girls at this year's 25th anniversary. We flew the flag for Britain around the globe in the 1990s and we achieved a hell of a lot.
  • 3. And this year is going to be the 25th anniversary of the 17-0 team the only undefeated season.

5 Architecture

  • 1. When I'm in London Claridge's is a great favourite. I'm a big fan of art deco architecture and the rooms are extraordinary.
  • 2. I'd like to do a lot of things – whether in design or architecture or business.
  • 3. I see architecture not as Gropius did as a moral venture as truth but as invention in the same way that poetry or music or painting is invention.
