I like figuring out where I need to be mentally so that I'm not thinking about the camera and that it's second nature. I want to get to a place where I can exist within the confines of what you can do with filmmaking and not have to think about it.

2 Amazing

  • 1. I'm always going to get more of a charge playing Chicago than I will Duluth or some place like that. Just because of the history and the people there are way more knowledgeable than a lot of other cities. It's an amazing music scene with some great bands and great musicians.
  • 2. 'Game of Thrones' is an amazing show and I have no problem speaking of the virtues of HBO.
  • 3. One thing that is almost always said to me is I grew up with you. They are meeting me and feel that they actually grew up with me. I was with them during their play hours and thinking hours. I was a part of their childhoods. That's one of the most amazing things.

3 Anger

  • 1. Life is precious and there's not a lot of room for anger.
  • 2. My hope is that out of all the anger and seeming hostility that we hear in some of today's music will come some sort of coalition that will become politically involved.
  • 3. I did not think that I was angry but clearly anger was reflected in my writing. I did not think that I had been affected emotionally but it was clear from my writing that I was still very emotional about the trial some six months after it ended.

4 Anniversary

  • 1. The secret of a happy marriage is finding the right person. You know they're right if you love to be with them all the time.
  • 2. So I think you have to marry for the right reasons and marry the right person.
  • 3. Actually the year anniversary of what you just heard my son Grahame and I are going to be in a play together and I'm acting for the first time in front of an audience that doesn't consist of a high school drama class.

5 Architecture

  • 1. Color in certain places has the great value of making the outlines and structural planes seem more energetic.
  • 2. I don't divide architecture landscape and gardening to me they are one.
  • 3. I could be happy doing something like architecture. It would involve another couple of years of graduate school but that's what I studied in college. That's what I always wanted to do.
