1 Age

  • 1. You get to a certain age where you prepare yourself for happiness. Sometimes you never remember to actually get happy.
  • 2. Middle age is when you've met so many people that every new person you meet reminds you of someone else.
  • 3. It is my art. I am better at it than I ever was. And I will do it as long as I can. When you reach a certain age you can slough off what is unnecessary and concentrate on what is. And why not?

2 Amazing

  • 1. I love Benny Hill. He one of my favourites of aaall time. Like the way Benny did it he was just amazing. Just seeing how he put songs together and comedy and the timing and the sketches. He was way ahead of his time.
  • 2. I think what's really amazing is that given the scale of the web and getting the compute power we have today we're starting to see things that appear intelligent but actually aren't semantically intelligent.
  • 3. At 13 I realized that I could fix anything electronic. It was amazing I could just do it. I started a business repairing radios. It grew to be one of the largest in Philadelphia.

3 Anger

  • 1. Guilt is anger directed at ourselves – at what we did or did not do. Resentment is anger directed at others – at what they did or did not do.
  • 2. Anger is an expensive luxury in which only men of certain income can indulge.
  • 3. My humour has always come from anger but I have to make sure I don't just get angry and jump on a soapbox.

4 Anniversary

  • 1. The bonds of matrimony are like any other bonds – they mature slowly.
  • 2. We can't forget what happened on May 4th 1970 when four students gave up their lives because they had the American constitutional right of peaceful protest. They gave up their lives. And to sing that song in that spot on that anniversary was very emotional for us.
  • 3. Each year on the anniversary of Martin Luther King Jr.'s birth America has the opportunity to reflect on our nation's progress towards the realization of his dream.

5 Architecture

  • 1. Less is more.
  • 2. Escape from the architecture ghetto is one of the major drivers and has been from the very beginning.
  • 3. Architecture is not an inspirational business it's a rational procedure to do sensible and hopefully beautiful things that's all.
