  • 1. This anniversary serves to help remind the American people that in the wake of one of the greatest political scandals and misuse of power in our history as a nation scandal produced important reforms that served this nation well for two decades.
  • 2. Married people from my generation are like an endangered species!
  • 3. The 150th anniversary of Penn State will highlight what is important and good about this distinguished institution and the fine people and research that it produces.

5 Architecture

  • 1. We require from buildings two kinds of goodness: first the doing their practical duty well: then that they be graceful and pleasing in doing it.
  • 2. We are stymied by regulations limited choice and the threat of litigation. Neither consultants nor industry itself provide research which takes architecture forward.
  • 3. You might say that when you step inside you're entering a honorific space but that's something totally different than experiencing it. And in architecture the experience comes first. That has the deepest effect on us.
