Obviously the anti-ERA people are tickled about my ordeal because it proves that the ERA breaks up families. When they point out that feminism is a dangerous thing I just say marriage is pretty precarious too.

In response to our fast-food culture a 'slow food' movement appeared. Out of hurried parenthood a move toward slow parenting could be growing. With vital government supports for state-of-the-art public child care and paid parental leave maybe we would be ready to try slow love and marriage.

Traditional marriage between a man and a woman has been a cornerstone of our society for generations. If we are going to change that it ought to be done by the will of the people.

  • 1. Time in general has always been a central obsession of mine – what it does to people how it can constitute a plot all on its own. So naturally I am interested in old age.

2 Amazing

  • 1. For me I don't expect to have a really amazing meal each time I dine out. Having a good meal with your loved ones – that's what makes the experience.
  • 2. I have short goals – to get better every day to help my teammates every day – but my only ultimate goal is to win an NBA championship. It's all that matters. I dream about it. I dream about it all the time how it would look how it would feel. It would be so amazing.
  • 3. I filmed 'Albatross' before I got 'Downton.' It's a coming-of-age movie about this girl who leaps into this family's life like a whirlwind. She's ballsy and brash and wonderful it was such an amazing character to play.

3 Anger

  • 1. Yeah to me acting is very therapeutic. I get out a lot of anger and frustration.
  • 2. Fear is the only true enemy born of ignorance and the parent of anger and hate.
  • 3. I think I'm basically the same guy I always was. Maybe I've learned through experience to rein in some of the anger and temper they say redheads normally have.

4 Anniversary

  • 1. Marriage is an alliance entered into by a man who can't sleep with the window shut and a woman who can't sleep with the window open.
  • 2. And this year is going to be the 25th anniversary of the 17-0 team the only undefeated season.
